As the Prime Minister, my Rt Hon. Friend the Member for Maidenhead (Mrs May) noted when she visited India, this relationship matters more than ever. The UK shares a longstanding, broad and deep friendship with India, covering economic and commercial ties, defence and security, and people-to-people links.
