Ofsted is a non-ministerial government department responsible for the inspection and regulation of services for children and learners. Ofsted publishes an annual report and accounts for Parliament, as required by the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000, in which Ofstedā€™s spend across its various remits is set out, including the cost of regulation and inspection of early years and childcare providers.
