Question for HM Treasury

UIN 52895, tabled on 15 November 2016

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what the funding formula implications for Scotland are of the £2.1 billion increase in the estimated cost of the modernisation of the Great Western railway network in England and Wales.

There are no funding formula implications for Scotland due to changes in the estimated cost of the modernisation of the Great Western railway network in England and Wales. Additional government funding has not been made available. The Barnett formula is only applicable to changes in the departmental expenditure limits of UK Government Departments.
