To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether officials in his Department plan to meet their counterparts in Northern Ireland to discuss steps to tackle drink driving.

Officials regularly meet with their counterparts in Northern Ireland and we will of course be interested in any evidence produced by the Northern Ireland Assembly on the impact that the changes to the drink driving limit has on road safety in Northern Ireland. There are though no current plans to alter the drink driving limit in England and Wales.

Named day questions only occur in the House of Commons. The MP tabling the question specifies the date on which they should receive an answer. MPs may not table more than five named day questions on a single day.
