To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what representations he has received from the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on an investigation into welfare reforms since May 2010.

The Rules of Procedure of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities provide that all documents and proceedings of the Committee relating to the conduct of an inquiry under the Optional Protocol are confidential. However, as the existence of an inquiry has already been made public by others, I can confirm that the Government has received representations from the Committee in connection with that. The nature, scope and timetable for the inquiry remain confidential.
