To ask Her Majesty’s Government what efforts they are making to inform Syrian refugees with relatives in the United Kingdom about the possibility of applying for admission to the United Kingdom for family reunion.

Recognised refugees and those granted Humanitarian Protection in the UK are advised about family reunion provisions as part of the information they receive with the decision on their asylum claim. Details on how to apply are also available on Gov.uk. The UK also operates the Mandate refugee scheme which provides a resettlement route for individual refugees who have been recognised by UNHCR and have close family ties with the UK. The UK is only able to consider resettlement applications from refugees who have been referred to us by UNHCR.
