HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) publish bi-annual statistics on the take-up of the Employment Allowance. In the first year of the Employment Allowance, 2014-15, 89,000 employers in the West Midlands have benefitted. This equates to 90 per cent of eligible employers in the West Midlands.
