The Government has helped to support the pub trade by cutting beer duty, scrapping the beer duty escalators and introducing business rate discounts for small businesses, benefitting three out of four pubs.
The Department is providing £350,000 funding support via Pub is the Hub and the Plunkett Foundation to help communities to own their local pub and to incorporate other community services in it.
Named day
Named day questions only occur in the House of Commons. The MP tabling the question specifies the date on which they should receive an answer. MPs may not table more than five named day questions on a single day.
