To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what discussions he has had with representatives of Stansted Airport on the surface access improvements to Stansted Airport recommended in the Airports Commission's Interim Report, published in December 2013.

The Airports Commission Interim Report recommended "work on developing proposals to improve the rail link between London and Stansted". To that end, we have challenged Network Rail to develop such proposals within the context of its Anglia Route Study, a draft of which is currently subject to public consultation.

Minsters and officials in the Department regularly discuss this and other issues with Manchester Airport Group, the owners and operators of Stansted Airport.
