Royal Navy recruiting staff attend national events promoting technical careers throughout the year. The two most prominent of these are 'Big Bang' UK Scientists and Engineers Fairs, and Skills and WorldSkills events. In addition, the Royal Navy encourages all Engineer Officers to enrol in the STEMNET Ambassadors scheme, the purpose of which is to match serving personnel with the STEM needs of local education establishments.
The Royal Navy is also strongly committed to the University Technical College programme; this scheme is technically focussed, offering a blend of education and vocational qualifications related to STEM areas.
