To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what the cost to the public purse was of the Commission on a Bill of Rights.

The cost of the Commission on a Bill of Rights from its establishment in March 2011, to its final report in December 2012 was approximately £700,000. This figure is also quoted on pg 39 of its final report which is publicly available at http://www.justice.gov.uk/about/cbr

Named day
Named day questions only occur in the House of Commons. The MP tabling the question specifies the date on which they should receive an answer. MPs may not table more than five named day questions on a single day.
