To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what change there has been in the number of people in (a) economic poverty and (b) fuel poverty in each of the last four years.

For the purposes of responding to this parliamentary question we have interpreted ‘economic poverty’ as the population considered to be in relative and absolute low income both before and after housing costs have been deducted from income.
