The Department is in regular contact with the devolved administrations; all support the need to increase the proportion of our energy needs in the UK which are met from renewable sources. The UK as a whole is making good progress towards the 2020 target for 15% of our energy needs to come from renewables; we were in line with the 2011/12 interim target and are on course for the one in 2014/15.
